This coffee is truly something special. Cultivated in small gardens by the indigenous Opais peoples of the Wahgi Valley, this Indonesian style coffee has a muted fruitiness contrasted with a tangy smoothness. This variety can often be compared to certain sweet and piquant Central American coffees because it is wet processed, unlike most of its wet processed peers from the Pacific Rim region. The Wahgi Valley is also home to kangaroos, wooly rats, and the green python, providing Kimel’s beans with some mostly friendly neighbors.
